Easy Install and clear readouts
I used this set of 3, to add digital readout to my older Harbor Freight mini-mill. The install was easy and only needed the parts supplied in the kit minus one. I needed to make an extention for the up & down or the "X" travel direction. I used 1" x 1/8" aluminum flat bar for that. The install took about 6 hours total and required 9 holes to be drilled and taped into the mini-mill. I used 10-24 screws to attach the mounts to the mills surface. The readout heads are bigger than I imagined. They measure approximately 1-1/2" x 3-1/2". I mounted mine to the face of the "X" head and used the supplied mounts and swing arms. Since the heads can be stacked together using supplied thumb screws I stacked the "X" travel on top and then the "Y" and "Z". Once everything was mounted I tested them out ... Having these on the mill makes it so easy to make precise cuts without all the stopping then starting to check your progress. And it's easy to make repeat cuts. All the parts in the kit are of very good quality and the overall fit and finish is great. The only small problem is the readout is LCD needs to be mounted so you view them from center line or below. This gives the best contrast to the readouts face. Once you power then up you can rotate them and see the readout fade when rotated and viewed from above center line. This is easy to overcome by mounting the readouts tilted slightly. Overall these are worth every penny spent and every minute installing them. Now that I have these on the mill it's time to put a pair on my 8" x 14" lathe.

Great DRO, but kinda slow
The DRO 3-Pack is a nice, economical system. I held back one star because the update response of the readings could stand to be a lot faster - like most digital calipers are. You have to turn the stage handwheels very slowly and wait for the display to catch up when you're approaching your target positions. Visibility would benefit from back-lighting, but that's probably asking too much for this low-cost system. But it is a great capability added to my mini-mill and I wish I'd done it sooner. I bought a triple output USB power supply and three USB to DC cables and run completely without batteries.The DRO 3-Pack is a nice, economical system. Good readout for harbor freight drill mill
Had to make a couple adapters to fit the sensors to my drill mill. Works good for me so far. Would had been nice to have more robust readout mounting arm as it is made of plastic.
